You will then  be responsible to make your own air arrangements.
After you arrive in New York City, you will need to meet at the designated location.  Here you will join the other tour participants and your ACTS Program Leader aboard the luxury motor coach. 

The evening starts off with a Welcome Dinner followed by a narrated sightseeing cruise around Manhattan.  Along the way you will have views of the city and the Statue of Liberty.

You then will be checked into your included accommodations.

This morning after breakfast, we will visit the moving 9/11 Memorial and the 9/11 Museum below.

Lunch will be on your own near Ground Zero.

We then ride to the top of One World Trade Center for amazing views of the city and harbor below.  You will then have a little time to stroll along 5th Avenue.

This evening, following dinner, we head over to the theater district to take in a Broadway show enjoying the creativity of the arts.

Sightseeing Cruise, 9/11 Memorial, 9/11 Museum, One World Trade Center Observatory, Broadway Show.

After breakfast we head south around Washington, D.C. as we depart for Mount Vernon Estate, home of George and Martha Washington.  You will be able to tour not only the mansion, but also the grounds - seeing the tomb of the Washingtons', and also the museum and education center.  Lunch will be enroute.

After dinner in the historic port city of Alexandria, Virginia, we will make our way over the Marine Barracks for the Evening Twilight Tattoo - a moving military program.  We then check into our hotel.

This morning our theme is sacrifice as we visit the Iwo Jima Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery. We will view the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

This afternoon, we will have a good amount of time to explore the treasures of the vast Smithsonian Institution.  Lunch will be on your own. You may also see the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights at the National Archives. 

Tonight, after dinner, we enjoy the first part of our Evening Illuminated Memorial Tour.

Arlington National Cemetery, Smithsonian Institution Museums, National Archives, Evening Illuminated Memorial Tour.

Meals Included: 
Breakfast and Dinner
Following breakfast, we drive up to Gettysburg. Here we will visit the Gettysburg National Military Park.  We will see the museum, film, and the famous Gettysburg Cyclorama.

After lunch on your own, we board our coach along with a licensed battlefield guide for a Gettysburg Battlefield Tour.

We then drive back to Washington, D.C. and after dinner and a photo stop at the White House, we continue the second part of our Evening Illuminated Memorial Tour.

Gettysburg National Military Park (Museum, Film, Cyclorama), Gettysburg Battlefield Tour, Evening Illuminated Memorial Tour.

Meals Included:

Today, we visit Capitol Hill.  We will visit the United States Supreme Court, the Library of Congress and the Visitor's Center of the U.S. Capitol with time to visit the public galleries and exhibits.

Lunch will be on your own at the Capitol.

This afternoon, we take a souvenir photo in front of the Capitol and visit the World War II Memorial before heading south to Colonial Williamsburg.

Tonight following dinner, we check into our accommodations.

Highlights: 
Capitol Hill - including the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress and the U.S. Capitol Building, World War II Memorial, travel to Colonial Williamsburg.

After breakfast we visit Colonial Williamsburg.  Here we will participate in a visit led through this restored Colonial Capital city.  We also have included a visit to the Governor's Palace.

After lunch on your own in Merchants Square, near the College of William and Mary, you will be free to explore this charming city on your own with time to explore the streets, shops and buildings.

Tonight in Colonial Williamsburg we will enjoy a Colonial tavern dinner followed by an evening Lanthorn tour visiting a number of trade sites led by a costumed interpreter.

After breakfast and check-out, we visit the newly opened American Revolution Museum at Yorktown

This afternoon we explore Jamestown Settlement with its restored ships, Jamestown Fort and Powhatan Indian settlement.  Lunch will be here on your own.

We then depart for the airport and our journey home - our hearts filled with memories and lasting friendships.
